My 2012 CT200h is due for 30,000 mile service soon. The manual says oil change & brake fluid change only. I did change the air filter & cabin filter every 10,000 miles, a 10 min. job. I got the synthetic motor oil & oil filter and will have my local mechanic do it. Now, the brake fluid looks pretty clean, almost looks brand new. WHY would Lexus recommend brake fluid change at 30000 miles??? Any catch? My local mechanic said it's a waste of money and no brake fluid service is required till 10k miles. Do you guys change the brake fluid on your CT at 30,000 miles?

That's what I thought and the mechanic recommended brake fluid flush at 100k miles unless they get dirty earlier and this guy serviced most of my cars for the last 20 years. Is there something special about Hybrid cars that Lexus recommended brake fluid change at 30k miles?
