It's been under a month since I put a deposit down on a CT200h and today I got the call that it's on the ship and it's on it's way to be delivered. It should be at the dealership by the end of the month hopefully sooner.

I can't wait! I've been reading this forum ever since I discovered the CT200H and I have to say I probably would have passed if it wasn't for this forum. I'm glad I didn't.

Any tips or suggestions for soon to be CT200H owner?

One thing to suggest get your self one of these and load it up with your favorite mp3's then you are ready to rock straight from the dealer.

I had mine with me ready when I was picking up my car and plugged it in while the dealer was demonstrating the functions to me, they were quite impressed with it.

Color and Package

I went with Obsidian and the Black Nuluxe Trim for the interior. For Packages I went with Package B from the Lexus website. Includes the Navigation System, Stereo System, and the Backup camera.

I can't wait! So excited! I'll be posting pics ASAP.

Almost forgot. I live in La Mesa/East County but it's the Lexus Escondido dealership where I ordered the CT.

Thanks, I can't tell you how good it felt. I put the deposit down on June 8th and this has been the slowest month ever in my life. I'm sure July will go just as slow until I get the final call that it's in.

You should buy a lottery ticket, you are one lucky guy. Most on this forum have been waiting MUCH MUCH longer. Myself, my deposit was put down in March (19th to be exact) and the ship with my car is due in the Port of Jacksonville on the 11th of this month.

That's good news. I ordered about a week after you from Escondido Lexus. Maybe I will be lucky, so far no call. I am in Rancho Bernardo/North County.

Lucky you. I got the call but the dealer says it looks like another 6 to 8 weeks bringing the wait time to almost 5 months from placing my order.

I too ordered from Escondido Lexus almost 3 months ago. Yesterday, I was offered a Tungsten with everything I ordered but without the leather package. I had to pass it up as the leather package also includes memory seat and side mirror tilt down when the car in in reverse.

It seems that as they get the allocations, they try to pair the cars with folks who have placed order based on color and options -- unless your specific order comes in. I was shown a list of current allocations with people's name written next to them.

I ordered white color but told them that I would take black with the same options. They offered me a black car with the same options which will dock Jul 8 and probably arrive at the dealership a week after. In the mean time, they are trying to swap their allocations with other dealerships for a white one for me. Hopefully, I can get my car black or white in a couple of weeks. I hope I don't get to call when I am out of the country late July to mid-Aug.

My sales guy and the general manager are sincere and personable. Good folks to work with.

Have you bugged them?

If not I think you'll be getting the call real soon. I've talked with both Escondido and the Carlsbad dealerships and they both have told me that Lexus and even Toyota are back to pre-earthquake production levels and they would start seeing inventory real soon.

I've talked with all of the dealerships in San Diego and by far Lexus of Escondido has been the best one to deal with. The folks at Carlsbad have been fantastic as well but they are just to far way. I'm quite happy that I decided to work with that dealership.

I'm pretty sure you will get your car real soon. They have told me that Lexus is back to pre-earthquake production levels and the West Coast is their top priority.

Shoot, maybe we might run into each other next week at the dealership! LOL!

I got the call today. port of NY On 7/25. Mostly what I wanted though black Nuluxe instead of ecru, and I was hoping for a remote starter too. Everything else matched: Yellow exterior, premium. I wonder if the premium audio is worth it?

I took a test drive at Esco today too. Decided on the premium with upgraded audio and the cargo net/wheel locks package. I was able to secure a $500 off final MSRP with my deposit, which Kearny Mesa wouldn't discount at all.

Its odvious production is picking up rapidly. Lots of activity now.

For quite a while nothing at all seemed to be happening.

Yesterday I got a call from my dealer. Lexus started building my CT on Wednesday!

It will be delivered to me in 2 months, unless something else suitable, and available, pops up before then.

This just seems wrong.

Why would my car go into production before yours? Did your dealer actually order a car for you?
