Hello,
I'm looking to put 15" snow tires on my CT.

It currently has 17" rims. I see 16" rims are avaliable on Tirerack, but they say 15" will not fit. However, the 15x5.5J rim is available at the Lexus dealer.

I don't want to pay for a Lexus rim.

Can someone help me with the dimensions for a 15" rim? (Offset, backspace)

Here's what I know:

  • 195/65R15
  • 15x5.5J
  • Backspace?
  • Offset?
Thanks!

15" wheels come as standard equipment on base model in many countries. Here in Canada the OEM wheel is 16"

If the car has Prius underpinnings I am sure a 15" wheel will work. I've just ordered tires from TR also in 15" for winter. I'll find a plain steel wheel here in Toronto so that I can fit it on the car to be sure, then pay for installation.

The nice thing about 15s is they will significantly increase fuel economy if you choose the right tire. 17" wheels on the Prius can result in a loss of 6-8mpg when comparing something like the 17" Primacy MXM4 to the 15" Energy Saver A/S.

They don't fit. The CTs with 15'' OEM wheels have different brakes.
