I have this phobia someday someone (like my kids) will press the Power Button from the passenger side while the car is moving say at 60-80 km/h. I hope the CT has this failsafe that the Power Button can only be turned off while the car is at a full stop but I am not betting on it. I tried pressing the Power button off while the CT is crawling and it actually turned off the car :(

Any thoughts ?

I haven't tried it myself, but I suspect that it will perform similarly to the Prius as demonstrated in this video:

Thanks guys for the answers. So I gather that when I am pressing the Power Button (<3 secs) while the car is coasting, nothing will happen ?

Lexus Owner's Manual:
"If you want to stop the hybrid system in an emergency while driving the vehicle, press and hold the 'POWER' switch for more than 3 seconds, or press it briefly 3 times or more in succession.
However, do not touch the 'POWER' switch while driving except in an
emergency.
Turning the hybrid system off while driving will not cause loss of steering or braking control, but the power assist to these systems will be lost. This will make it more difficult to steer and brake".
