That's sexy... any pictures from a bit further so we can see the overall car better?
Looks great!!! How much are you selling the upper grill. Is it made of somethibg metal or plastic like the lower grill? And lastly did you install yourself?
thanks! i'll try to get some additional pics from afar in better lighting for you guys.

beezbreezy, the upper grille is more of a harder plastic whereas the lower grille is a softer plastic. i'm selling the upper grille for $145 shipped to you. here's the link: http://www.ct200hforum.com/forum/le.../117918-sale-ct200h-f-sport-upper-grille.html . yes, i installed them myself.
pmed you Cenix. I want to get my grill changed too, i wonder how much it cost to get it done for the upper and lower (just for the service)?
Is the upper grill molding a complete replacement or is it a cover? I wanted to order this piece, but couldn't find a place that had it in stock. I was going to have a car wrap place make me a vinyl piece that is color matched (or as close as they could get) and just wrap the chrome piece... it bugs the crap out of me too... Looks Great btw...
beezbreezy, i pm'd you back. :) i'm sure any competent body shop or mechanic would be able to handle this with ease.

pomexcan, thanks...the color-matched grille molding is a complete replacement piece. it would've been easy to just pop in/out if it didn't have screws on the bottom ends of the points (the lowest corner points of the piece)...makes installation nearly impossible without taking the bumper off. a vinyl wrap or plastidip (if you want a black colored grille molding) is probably the next best thing.

Breezy: My husband had the upper & lower grills installed yesterday by a body shop that our dealer recommended. They only charged $100 + tax. He got quotes from $100 - $250. (from 3 shops) So that price was awesome! It only took about 1 hr to install both and that included the bumper being removed. They did a great job. Now I want them too!! :)
thanks Hey gurl! cant wait to get this done on my car

after

Me too. I like some aftermarket grills on some cars, but not a fan of the vertical "squigglys" they came up with...
Yeah, it's a personal thing. Actually, I really like the stock one too, but I like this better. Especially everytime I walk in the garage and see both grills facing me. It has a meaner look..IMO. I thought it would be hard to clean the bugs from the holes, but its no problem. That would have been the deal breaker for me. Oh yeah and I really like the dark gray color.

Living in the Miami/Ft Lauderdale area, I have seen so many custom grilles on cars...mostly the Honda tuner kids that fix up their cars...they have the mesh looking grilles (which is what this FX grille looks like to me)...also, so sick of seeing cars like Honda Accords and similar (Camry's,etc) that don't come with HID lights with cheesy bright blue or bright white lights that cast a very narrow beam....I guess I'm at the stage where I will keep my car stock but anything addes will be tasteful (IMO) like factory accessories (light up door sills, metal bumper guard for rear, and maybe the F Sport factory CT200h wheels)

ok...you're crazy! hey, you asked for it. :D

seriously though, i know exactly what you're talking about regarding the chicken-wire style and chrome barred aftermarket grilles, etc., but in my opinion the f sport zig-zag patterned grille is hardly in the same category due to the factory fit/finish. they still flow with the car and give it a more aggressive & sporty look whereas the stock grilles look more 'calm' and classy.
dont get me wrong, I like both the standard and the f sport grille but the as hey gurl said, the f sport grille has a meaner look. it gives it an aggressive stance. pics dont do it justice, if you see one in person it really fits the car better. Plus im an IS F fan :)
