Hello everyone,

When I had my MINI, I was able to connect my iPod to the stereo system and control the iPod vis the click wheel. It was quick and easy to maneuver through the menus.

Now I own a CT non nav and when I connect my iPod via the USB I can only scroll menus via the stereo controls. Also, the iPod will not remember where it was after the car is turned off.

My question: Is there a way to bypass the stereo controls and use the iPod click wheel instead?

I have searched the Forum and did not see this question.

I am not sure about the CT, but most cars that have iPod integration (let you control the music thru the stereo system) via USB connection would not allow you to control the iDevice on the iDevice. Does your iPod have bluetooth? If it does, you could connect it via bluetooth and then you could use the control on your iPod.

My iPod does not have bluetooth. I was thinking about getting a bluetooth adapter for it... that may work.

Connect it via headphone jack only, not via USB, and you can use the clickwheel.
