I give up. How many golf bags can you get in?
Even though I'm not a golfer, I think I know the answer to this one: none. It's not a huge car and golf bags are ridiculously large, unwieldy things.

How many people do you take out golfing? If there's only you and a friend, why don't you just fold down the rear seats? Then it'll easily swallow three or four golf bags.

reecey thought you had a punch line to a joke !!! I take the driver out of the bag and then it fits across the back without folding the seats However since we have never had more than two people in the car when carrying golf clubs I fold the drivers side rear seat down and place the bags parallel to the drivers side of the car in the rear of the car
I fold down the drivers side as well, fit 4 bags and 4 people, but somewhat cramped in back. But who really cars about those in the back seat? Usually just take someones elses car.
I can't fit a cart bag or my stand bag even my son's carry bag won't fit. I never thought of taking out the mighty R11 driver so have to try that!
You can fit two bags if you put the bottom of the bag in over the back seat then put the top down in the back corner and swing the bottom around and into the other corner. However if ther are only two it is easier just to put the back seat down. My other car is an MR2 spyder and I can transport two people, two sets of clubs and two days of cloth in that car. I am use to dealing with limited space. :D
Great question OP. It all depends on what kind of a bag you have. I have an intermediate level self-standing bag and it fits in the rear without having to fold any seats down, though it does take some thought/trial and error to get it in the first time!

coubs is right on (though I put the top in over the backseat), then you lower the bottom of the bag into the right rear corner (there's a nice little void down there to fit it), and mine lays across the back diagonally WITH my driver still in the bag. I don't know that you can fit a 2nd on top of that though, maybe you can but would likely need to take the driver out for any chance.

If you have a huge leather one like the pros use, no way that thing will fit with the seats up, but who even uses those!?
Annoying that we have to put a seat down to put our golf bags in comfortably. If you must store the bag in there with the seats up, you'll have to pull all your woods out or risk damaging the shafts.
