Hi everyone, I’ve been lurking on this forum for a while but am finally taking the plunge and buying my first ct. I’ve found a 2016 model that has sub 20k miles and is very keenly priced. The temptation is to immediately go for it due to it looking like a incredible deal but as a newbie I was hoping to ask the more experienced members points to look out for when buying such a low mileage model from 7 years ago. Aside from the hybrid battery issues from maybe not being used as much as it should be, are there any other issues I should be aware of when I go down to see it?

I have not had issues on mine, bought off a friend in early 2020 -- '12 CT200h. It had around 193,000 km and now was 234,000 on it.

No issues with mine . I have 150,000 miles since I bought brand new in 2012 . I never took to dealers besides oil change every 5000 miles

You should be okay. I would start the car and make sure the engine doesn’t do the shakes. Other than that, make sure all electrical components.

Because of the placement of our PCV’s do Not overfill oil, ensure oil under the full mark and enjoy..

I have to agree with everyone so far. I too had this car brand new since 2010 and it’s still running strong. I did have to do the head gasket repair and I noticed the drivers side window motor is starting to slow down, but other than that I haven’t had any issues at all. Love this little hatch and I’m sure you will too!

You could try lubricating the door window runners with some silicon spray
