Hello everyone,

My CT is going to have it's 1st 1,600km service soon.. I remember there're some posts here in the past talking about asking the Dealer to adjust it for you during this service:

1. Disable the reverse beeps
2. Disable the tire pressure sensor if you have another set of tires
3. ...

Any other suggestion here?? Please help :)

Two things I had the dealer do before I even got to 200 miles. First, definately disable the reverse beep. Very annoying. Second have the fob programed to roll down all the windows. Very helpful on a hot summer day.

as far as I know, you cannot disable the tire pressure sensors....

the warning will be on, you need to re-use the sensors on the 2nd set of wheels or get another set of sensors

My advice: Contact the Service Center (prior) and see if they have an LPS checklist for you to read through and check off. Don't let them rush you through it. Anyway,...in case they don't have a checklist, below is the dealer programmable settings (I hope...might have missed one or two?). I did the ones in bold:

Auto Unlock When the engine is running and the vehicle is placed into park
Unlock on Second Key Turn When using the mechanical key to unlock the doors
Efficient Ventilation Mode When the front defogger is activated
Sensitivity Level of light required to dim/brighten the instrument panel lights
Flashing of Signal Lights Using the electronic key
Open Windows when pressing the unlock button on the electronic key for 3 seconds
Open windows warning when pressing the unlock button on the electronic key for 3 seconds
Opening windows using key when using the mechanical key to operate the windows
Closing windows using key when using the mechanical key to operate the windows

Automatic recirculation of air when using A/C When the air conditioner is ON or in AUTO
Interior light the interior light will illuminate when POWER is switched to OFF
Illumination of the interior cabin light when unlocking door
Illumination of the interior cabin light when approaching the vehicle
Cup holder light the cup holder will illuminate when POWER is in ACCESSORY or ON mode
Foot lights when using the electronic key to unlock the doors
Panic mode when pressing the panic button on the electronic key
Door lock buzzer when the lock button on the electronic key is pressed and a door is not fully closed
Driver seat belt reminder when the vehicle reaches 12mph
Passenger seat belt reminder when the vehicle reaches 12mph
Reverse beep alert

I recall seeing a thread in this forum by a member that included an official Lexux CT200h checklist (PDF) of adjustments that can be done by yourself and of other adjustments that can be done by only the dealer.

I actually printed it out but only the reverse-beeping interested me.

Will an alternate set of sensors work with those steel snow tire rims? How much do the sensors cost?

Thx

WTH - Turn off the infernal seat belt beep.

I'm a militant seat belt wearer. The last thing I need is some pseudo-psycho beep fetishist telling me what to do.

just got back from 5K service.

Turned off passenger and driver seatbelt warnings. Changed reverse beep to one beep. Activated windows down by remote + windows up and down by key.

mentioned the problem with the door trim piece. they ordered parts. hopefully will communicate with corporate to get some sort of TSB or recall in place. I don't want the dealership working on my car by replacing the entire door panel like they said they would if they don't have to. that's how problems come up like little squeaks and noises.

They did rotate your tires, right? That's like the main part of the 5K service, isn't it?

Oh, just FYI to everyone...I don't think it's required to wait until 5K miles to have those LPS settings changed. I just stopped in and asked a few days after I took delivery...and they did it.

I don't see tire rotation on my invoice.

Performed Keyes Lexus Reommended 5,000 miles or 10-month service.
*Add wiper solvent
*Replace key fob battery
*Replace in-cabin air filter
*Replace engine air filter
*verify under hood fluid levels and adjust if necessary
*reset maintenance reminder light
*measure tire tread depth and inspect for abnormal wear - advise as necessary
*measure thickness of brake pads + rotors - advise as necessary
*visually inspect calipers
*check installation of driver's floor mat
*inspect: axle shaft boots, ball joints + dust covers, rack + pinion
*inspect: body, steering linkage and boots
*inspect: brake lines + hoses, engine coolant, exhaust pipes + mounting
*inspect front differential - drain and refill if equipped
*inspect rack + pinion
*replace differential oil
*road test vehicle and hand wash.

This doesn't even sound right. They must have copied the wrong service over onto the invoice.

Looks like they copy and pasted the 15k service schedule on my invoice.

I mean, they kinda have to take the wheels off to check the brake pad thickness, so I assume it was implied that the wheels were rotated?

They definitely didn't do some of the things on the list, like change the engine air filter since, i have a K&N filter in there and it's still there.
