It's way to late, but just want to get this thread started to help understand why some of us in the US market got the De-Icer option and others didn't.

I didn't really find a reference to it on the USA Lexus Website for CT200h information pages, but it is referenced a few times when searching the Manual.

It looked to be a Standard Option when I was looking at the Lexus Canada Website...

2012 CT 200h Specifications & Features

Anyone in Canada who didn't get this?

Should we post build dates and dates received for the US market? Last 6 numbers of the VIN?

More tomorrow... R:)

It's not clear what u r referring to. My wife's car has both the rear window de-icer and the lower windshield de-icer presumably to prevent the wipers being frozen to the glass.

We took delivery 3/16.

Which de-icer are u concerned about?

I'm in SoCal and mine is a base model (no extra package). I have the de-icer heater element on my front windshield and the button switch on the left side panel. Got my CT on 7/30 with the build date stamped 6/11 as shown on tag by the driver side door frame.

My Canadian Touring was built 6/11 and has the de-icer (now if they had only included the heated steering wheel...).

My Canadian Premium has the windshield wiper de-icer. The car was was built on July 6, 2011.
Can you take a picture of the button to turn it on please? I have the tech package and I don't think I have this.

Yup. Definitely didn't get the de-icer. I'm in SoCal. Have the LED package with headlamp washers though. Maybe it's only available in the NE and in Canada?

I'm in upstate NY and my car was loaded and I don't have it, although it appears the glass has the wiring at the bottom... I even recall the salesman stating it had it

Here is a picture of the Windshield De-Icer Button. I only have 1 button on this row, because I don't have headlamp washers. I suspect you should have 2 buttons available here. :)

Wow, sorry to hear that. Wonder if you can complain to the dealership and see if they can offset their mess-up by offering something else to you?

Can't run out to my CT to confirm, but I think those of us who have navigation don't have the button to activate the heating element to the left of the steering wheel. Instead, it is buried somewhere in the nav screen menus.

I too have the wires on the bottom on my windshield with a car build date of 6/11.

Attached pic of the Windshield De-Icer on a nav equipped CT. It's under the Climate menu.

you nailed it, it's on the climate control screen at the very bottom right corner according to the navigation manual... pg 283
