Is there a way to test the anti-glare rearview mirror? I have it set to auto and tried shining a flashlight in the front sensor but it doesn't seem to do anything. Also, why is there a sensor on the back of the mirror?

this is how these things work. front sensor bright, rear sensor bright = daytime. no darkening.
front sensor dark, rear sensor dark = night, no one behind you. no darkening.
front sensor dark, rear sensor bright = night, glare behind you. mirror darkens.
to test this, shine a flashlight at the mirror, but at the same time, use your finger to cover the front sensor. oh, and make sure the switch is on auto.

put a piece of tape over the rear sensor and turn the mirror on and off with the auto switch. I wished it worked better but the auto chromatic mirrors suck

Just drive it at night. You can tell that it is working when you look at the rear view mirror and then look at your side mirrors. I wish the side mirror would dim the headlights from the back as well.
