I was thinking of taking the photographic concept and adapting it for use in other situations.

Such as photographing/creating a video of the CT200h, helping to sell my old PT Cruiser, etc.

Thoughts?

(Either way it's a really neat video I thought ya'll might like, but didn't think it quite appropriate in the video section until I get a CT200h into one) ;]

At first glance I'd say yes, the NEX-7 should work.

If it has an external shutter release input, so that you can do a 15-30 second exposure, it shouldn't be a problem.

Most SLRs accept external shutter control, but I don't see it listed in the features at first glance. Check the manual?

DynamicPerception.com has a really nice motorized slider rig, not cheap, but pretty amazing.
