what spark plug is better recommended? do I stick with OEM? thanks for input!

It's almost like what brand of oil do I use.

I am a fan of anything NGK even down to the lowly copper ones. The main differences are longevity and price. There's platinum, iridium and ruthenium. I doubt you will notice a difference in which material you buy. NGK has a good web site with technical information.

Short version yes the stock ones.

Thanks for the reply! I'll just stay with the stock ones. I thought stock ones were Denso but I'm more of a fan of NGK and use the iridiums for both my subaru's.

Toyota changed the plug for this engine -- it's a hotter (lower number) plug ....

NGK. Stick with what works. Just changed mine at 120k F Sport

I went with the NGK Ruthenium. Could be crazy but I thought it added a little more growl to the engine.

Finally got around to doing this and glad I did. Old ones looked dirty. Ended up cleaning some of the engine bay as well.
Definitely feel the difference although might be placebo effect lol

The important part is the condition of the gap materials. Hard to tell from the picture.

The only way to tell improvement in ignition without the bias of cognition is gas mileage.
