After trading in my RX400h for the CT 3 weeks ago for a more sensible commuter I am LOVING THIS CAR! It looks great and gets awesome gas mileage. Performance is poo-poo but that's not what this car is about (I have a Lotus for that) and I am getting excellent gas mileage on my 50 mile round trip 4 day work commute.

However today I called SiriusXM to inquire about pricing after my 90 day subscription runs out. I wanted to continue the existing subscription minus stocks/sports but keep traffic and weather and the existing music package. A package option listed on the SiriusXM pamphlet given with the car that is Lexus branded. However after arguing with two reps for an hour and a half, they keep telling me that my car does not support the weather and traffic feature. I told them this is absurd because I have it right now on the trial package and it is working just fine and have been since I took delivery of the car. Low and behold I go out to my car after speaking with them and guess what? Both services are now non functional. I spoke to the technical specialist at the Lexus dealership and he too said this is absurd as all CTs with the Nav package support this. He is calling the special dealer line to SiruisXM and will get this straightened out but I wanted to check the board to see if others have ran across this issue.*

I have provided the radio ID but they will not do anything and stick to their story, man was I frustrated! I am sure Lexus will get this straight for me but have others encountered this issue?

Very wierd indeed, we renewed our siruis service, ordered and received the music package and the traffic package bundled together. We also did not want and did not subscribe to sports or stocks.
Our initial siruis contact was able to handle the entire renewal selection process without a problem...

Stick to you guns and call siruis back, your issue is their problem, not Lexus'.

Call back. You will get a different (hopefully smarter) rep and your problem will be solved. I have found that asking for a supervisor is useless. I think they trade that title around to the dumbest person on duty.

I may or may not be remembering this correctly, but I think there is a firmware update available to address problems receiving weather and traffic info after renewing subscription. May want to ask someone knowledgable at a dealership.

Well you never know but that would be odd about it being a firmware issue. It would seem to me, trial or subscription, it is still the same service. I don't see the firmware telling the differencr between your subscription/trial. The bottom line is the dealer activated it just fine. I've seen weirder things do thanks for the input, you never know.

I do have the technical dept at Lexus looking into it and will post back what they find but the guy is off until Tuesday.

I don't know if this will help or not. I renewed my XM service and included traffic & weather. When the date came for my renewal, I lost my traffic & weather. I called several times and they would send signals to my car which didn't help. I opened a service ticket with XM and was told it would take 2 weeks to resolve. After two weeks, I called back and they sent another signal to my car and it finally worked. I don't know what they did, but it finally worked after two weeks.

Update:

After hearing back from the Lexus tech I found that my radio ID was not coded correctly. For some reason the radio ID for my car ID is registered as without having nav. I was then instructed to call the dealer supplied number. The dealer opened a trouble ticket but XM told me it would be 10 business days for the ticket to be worked.

I'm sitting and waiting, hopefully they will get this straightened out. I did however reply to an online survey and vented my frustration. Less than 24hrs I got a call back from XM regarding my negative response. I have yet to call them back because I have been too busy but will this weekend.

I understand your thoughts about the firmware, but a radio ID concern would seem even less likely. A fairly similar process would have to take place when the trial subscription was activated during the pre delivery- radio ID supplied.

Well coded meaning my Radio ID is reported in their system currently as non-nav. Seems like a records issue on the XM side in relation to my radio. The trouble ticket was opened to fix that records issue and get my service back. Right now everyone on the same page and both XM and Lexus agree on the issue/cause. I just want it fixed and hopefully it will be sooner than later.

I agree with your comment and argued that point but now Lexus is saying the same thing. It's just a fluke glitch I'm guessing.
