Rule 1: Suspension before wheels.

The CT has enormous wheel gap. If you put 18" wheels with low profile tires it makes it worse.

Stance matters, so tighten up!

If you plus size correctly it doesn't make it worse. The OD of the tire should remain the same.

It may look worse, since there will be less rubber (wall height).

But the gap clearance from the tire to the fender will remain the same.
