After taking my CT500h to the dealer with an EVAC leak, it took them 5 days to find the problem...rodents have chewed on a line above the gas tank that has set off an EVAC leak code. Has anyone ever heard of this problem with rodents chewing on things under the hood?

Why it took so long for the dealer to find this problem is also a mystery. Unfortunately the warranty doesn't apply and I'm waiting to hear back about cost, I'm sure it's going to be expensive.

Just found out that the repair for the rodent damage is $1500! The rodent's nested above the fuel tank and have been chomping on a fuel line that's connected to the fuel tank and the tank must be replaced. This is the craziest repair bill I've ever seen for a 2 year old car.

Yes, it has happened to many Prius owners as well.
Those environmentally friendly materials used attract rodents and rats. Sorry that it happened to you too.
