Hi, recently i became the lucky owner of a 2013 CT200h Luxury. Great car!! but i found out that the standard factory LED low beams are not giving me much sight in the dark. I want to replace these for LED's that give more light / lumen. Does anyone have more info on where and which LED low beams are suitable for replacing the Lexus factory LED. My local toyota dealer said there's are no alternative for the LED factory low beams on the CT .

Anyone can tell me if there are after market LED that fit in my CT that are brighter?

You cannot replace the LED headlights. It's a sealed unit.
You'd have to purchase the halogen headlight assemblies and replace the entire thing before you can change the bulbs.

The problem really is the aiming of the headlights. It's set too low, too conservatively. I have the same lights and I hate how short of a distance the light shines.

The only solution I have theorized is for someone to rewrite the ECU of the car and change the default value for the aiming, since the headlights are auto-leveling. You CAN change the aim from the dealer, but the car will reset back to the original position as soon as you turn it off then back on.

Coincidentally, there is a TSB for my car for the violent engine shuddering problem (cylinder misfires when cold), and the fix Lexus put out on that TSB is a rewrite of the ECU. My mechanic uses a specialist for this sort of thing, so I will be asking him if we go that route, to see if he can rewrite the car's tune to do exactly this.

It's not just the level. It's the color temp. My wife's RAV4 has the LED headlight and they're awful in inclement weather. They run around 6000K and they get totally washed out when the street is wet.
I installed 2500K fog lights and that has improved visibility in bad weather, but the Toyota/Lexus LEDs run at a less than great color temp.

I know this is an older thread but can't find much online on this. Just picked up a 2013 CT 200h with F sport package. Had the factory LED's and same issues with seeing maybe 30 feet ahead at night.

Any one found a solution to this?

Have you done so? I was going off of Raiding saying that if you raise it, it will just lower again?

I do not have the LED variety. My head lights do not have any auto levelling. So I can adjust them manually. But even if it did have auto leveling (my previous car did), you can still adjust the aim higher, because the two adjustments are separate. The auto leveling just raises and lowers the lights based on changes in the vehicle's suspension and acceleration/deceleration. So if you raise the lights, they'll just auto level around at a higher level. At least this is my best guess without trying it.

Hmmmm..... Thanks. I'm going to my mechanic tomorrow for the TPMS light and getting some sensors changed. I'll see if they can move it up a bit.... Dealer said that it wasn't possible, but can't always trust them 😂

Let us know how it goes. I'd like to know how it works on this car so I'm not ignorant and wrong based on a previous Lexus (and all other auto-levelling systems I know of) lol.

This is the adjuster. You can see the external screwhead that you can use to adjust the aim. The auto leveling is just a relative thing. You should be able to turn this screw to raise the lights, and the auto leveling will not even notice, it will just continue as before.

Just to be sure, this worked for you on the OEM factory LED headlights? Does it make a significant difference you would say and doesn't it have a risk blinding the oncoming traffic?

Sure did. Factory LED's and no flashing from other drivers yet. I could probably raise a little higher even.

I'd give it a try for sure.
