I plug in my phone almost every time I get in my car so generally I like to have my iPhone cable hanging out. What I find annoying is that there's no cigarette lighter in the armrest compartment so that my cable can dangle out of there instead of having the flap flipped open all the time.

I was wondering if anyone was able to relocate or add an additional cigarette lighter into the armrest compartment and how hard it would be? I went through some threads and only found information about the USB.

No one's done it? Figured it'd be somewhat simple

I remember seeing a thread where someone added one for the glove compartment and one near the floor of the passenger seat.

I added multiple usb ports that are plugged into the fuse box and I just hide the wires. That way I can just plug in my phone via a cable. I have a phone charging dock that is hooked up to the usb port mentioned above and everything is hidden inside the panels.
