What do you think about applying red foil to my rear lights just to get a tint and to tone them down?
Or do you think the chromed Lexus look is nicest?

Yes; I like that, and on a red car. preferable to the clear effect.
Do you think the effect of indicators or brake lights is diminished, though?

No, only the backup light irritates me as it becomes red. Its not blocking much light.
