I am interested in getting 18s (xxr 527s) for my CT200h but really dont want my MPG to suffer to much. To those of you who have gone up what was your MPG loss like? Thanks!

There is one or more threads about this already.
I believe the wheel size doesn't matter, it is the weight that matters.

I don't remember the exact answer, but I think there is a small drop in MPG

You are correct hdave. Has nothing to do with wheel size. Depending on the wheels the 18s might actually weight less. XXRs are usually pretty lightweight usually they have the wheel weight with the wheel size, offset, lug pattern

I know its a bit late, but I wanted to weigh in.

Yes, wheel weight matters, but what else will make a difference is which tires you mount. Make sure that there are low rolling resistance tires available in the size that you'll need.

I noticed an MPG loss simply by adding wider tires to stock rims. I went with 225 instead of 215. I got Nitto Motivo's which I do not believe are low rolling resistance. I noticed a noticeable drop of 1-2 mpg.

My previous setup on 19x8.5's running 235/35/19's I was averaging 40-42. On stock tires I was averaging 42-45 normally.
