Problems coNnecting Bluetooth audio

I have an Android and in my old car I had no problem having it connected for both phone and audio. On the CT it seems can only connect the phone. It won't recognize the audio. Am I doing something wrong or is this another disappointment with Lexus audio?

it does connect but i think the "discoverable" time for audio is only when you start the car. therefore, make sure your bluetooth for your android phone (which i assume is also your music player?) is already on so that when you start your CT it will immediately detect it. also, make sure your CT audio is set to CD/AUX (unless you have a NAV-unit in which case i don't know what you should do) and you should see a "connecting" sign on the headunit display. let us know if that does not work.

my guess is the CT is only "discoverable" for <30 secs before you will have to turn off the car and start over (from my experience).
Didn't work. Works just fine for phone, but not for audio. Has anyone else had luck using a first generation Motorola Droid?
I don't have the nav either but it works fine for my HTC Desire HD with both Android 2.2 and 2.3. Took some time to set it up thou and im not sure how the heck I made it work. First I managed to connect as phone as you, then I managed to screw that up and only connect as audio. After that I did finally manage to connect to both phone and audio. Its quite messy to set this up without the nav :/

As JCP says; the car does only search for BT-pairing for a little while (like all BT-modules), so you should have BT enabled on the phone before you start the car (with an android you can automate this very smoothly by tasker, for example. I have it so that it enables BT, GPS and maximize the media volume when I place the phone in my dock(charger).

Try to have the car stereo in the BT-mode when you start the car, I think that was the trick to fix my connection the first time but im not sure.
Do also set the car as priority 1 for BT-connections.
And then you should look in the phone so that you have both media and phone functions enabled for the car-bt connection, mine was only phone by default. I dont know what version of android you have but it should only be to long-press the car-audio connection and choose "alternetives".

Ok, not very much direct help there, sorry. I dont know exactly steb by step how to fix this. If you take your car over to sweden ill take a look ;)

Good luck!

my guess is it's a software issue as maxa suggests...either an incompatible Android version (mine is 2.2 Froyo) or your settings are somehow keeping you out.

there is an off-chance your BT on your car is defective, but you should see if you can pair someone else's BT phone just to check. i doubt that's it though.
I am a supreme Dork! After all my frustration, I just reloaded the phone after deleting it and a prompt came up to load "phone with audio or phone only". I don't know how I messed this up before but we're all good now.

Now can only whine about the volume/quality drop with satellite and the display not scrolling. Haha.
