I ordered a Fire Agate Pearl in late April. I was told at the time that the PreCollision system would not be available until the 2012 model year. Now I come to find out that they did not make any Fire Agate Pearl Ct200h in the 2011 model year and that mine will be a 2012 model. I asked my dealer if I could get the Pre Collision now that it will be a 2012 model and she said that it is not an option for the 2012 models either.

Does this jibe with what other people have found out? Does anyone out there currently have the pre-collision system?

i think the US and CDN model will just not get it.. just like how we dont get the parking sensors.. and the lines for the backup camera in the nav models..

I saw a thread from a Lexus dealer in New Jersey that seemed to indicate that the Pre-Collision was available, at least on the East Coast. Maybe it is a regional thing.

My friend with a fully loaded 2011 CT has pre-collision. It's part of the Radar Cruise Control package.

Doesn't make sense not having pre-collision in USA

You can get pre-collision on the Prius In the USA ( model V with ATP) so why wouldn't the CT be able to get it. Unless this is still a production impact from the Tsunami.

I think that the troubles in Japan changed many plans. I would also guess that there was quite a bit of tweaking for a different care, design, weight, etc. I am still told that in the midwest (particularly Wisconsin) we can not get the feature.
