Nuts! Even the Prius has this option.

I accept the fact that you have to make compromises when looking at a hybrid... and a Lexus at this price... but everywhere I turn, there are more and more shortcomings on this car.

Surely, this has to be an option that changes in future models.

Of course, the second generation will be more refined. When I was talking to the dealer about the lack of rear cupholders, he said "that will be something they have to add next year".

My 2005 Prius didn't have a lot of things, power seats being the least of my worries. I figure if I went 6 years and 150000 miles on cloth seats, without a sunroof, and listening to what might have been the worst factory stereo in history, I could put up with a couple of shortcomings in this car.

I'm fairly certain that power seats are not offered for the driver or passenger seat in the Prius. Although, power lumbar support is standard in the package IV and V Prius.

Toyota Prius Hybrid - 2011 Models: Prius Two, Prius Three, Prius Four, Prius Five
Click on the 'Interior' tab under features. It shows them available in fabric for One and Two, and leather for Three and Four.

I'll stop whining for now. dgstan made a good point that there will always be improvements made to the car with each reiteration. Just wish it was avaiable now :)

The CT, like the Prius, offers a drivers side power seat only, however the passenger seat is manual even in th Prius V. They do however offer a solar roof (on the IV only though) that is not available with the CT. The wife loves her solar roof option.

power seat? are we getting that lazy? I would delete seat-memory if I could..... I set my seats and forget it. Set it, and forget it.

With a bad back I like the power drivers seat as it gives me more options for adjustment.. as for the passenger... let them have the manual one ;)

I realize they had to make concessions, like all manufactures, but for the most part I'm happy with the offerings Lexus provided us on this car. Although, I would have liked the solar roof option  :)

Hey tx - that's where I was sending you to see that Prius does NOT have power seats. :)

On toyota.com the seating features listed for package II and III is:
"Fabric-trimmed 6-way adjustable driver's seat with seatback pocket; 4-way adjustable front passenger seat with seatback pocket and adjustable headrests"

...for packages IV and V toyota.com lists:
"Leather-trimmed and heated 6-way adjustable driver's seat with power lumbar support and seatback pocket; 4-way adjustable front passenger seat with seatback pocket and adjustable headrests"

The only thing that is powered is the lumbar support in the package IV and V Prius.

Sorry, don't mean to harp on this. Just want you to have the correct information.

we have a 2004 Toyota Sienna XLE Limiited...loaded except NAV...have owned it since new (160K miles and doing fine). It has a power drivers side seat and not power on passenger side...the next year, the only change they made was to add a power seat to the 2005 models...go figure

No sweat. I appreciate the clarification - my bad for reading into that as power.

It wasn't enough to deter me either... just purchased my new CT yesterday... getting remote start installed (they're honoring the MSRP of $240), tinted windows, and the bamboo. Can't wait to pick it up Monday!

If I had a choice between powered and non-powered, I would take the non. Had a powered seat on a Volvo that went out and it was expensive to fix and had to sit in a awkward position until the parts came in. Manual only takes seconds to adjust.
