After a wait of three-and-a-half months, my silver (Tungsten Pearl) CT200h arrived at the dealer late Thursday night. Friday was booked with a trip to Comic-Con, and so after a long day of walking, I drove to the dealer yesterday evening with great glee and anticipation. One final test drive, and I signed the papers and the car was mine!

My first drive home was promising but uncomfortable, since I had forgotten to adjust my seat. I've now had a day to read the manuals and take the car on a longer test drive (to my work and back), and I'm extremely pleased with my decision to purchase this car.

I'm switching from an manual tranny IS300 that I love dearly, and I was concerned about the power difference between the two. Well, I do notice the difference (it is sorta like driving the IS300 in "snow" mode), but doesn't appear a problem in everyday driving (I did some freeway driving on my drive today, and it was fine). The automatic transmission should be a welcome change from my manual on my stop-and-go commutes to and from work. The driving feel is different, but I think it will be a great fit for my driving here in San Diego.

Kudos to Lexus Carlsbad - they did right by me, and I'm a happy owner!

Congrats Todd. It will take a little adjusting for sure, but worth it. IMO... ;-)

Manual Shift -- YES

Congratulations, I take delivery somewhere August 10-15. I also previously had a manual shift IS-300 but I sold it some time back.

I am almost getting what I want, but not quite. In Houston, Texas, USA you kind of take what they have. I did get my choice of color (Matador Red Mica) and interior (Black). I am getting the premium with Nav and Nuluxe. Really wanted to order but was told no orders taken until at least october with a Jaunaury/February 2012 deliver. I would have gotten leather, pre-collision ( my wife's Pruis V with thetechnology package has it; nice for cruising in partially congested traffic and lane keep assist, and automated parking ...the last two are not offered on the CT ??) and the LED headlights.

I really wanted a hybrid with shifting and the only one available is the CRZ and it is two seater; for a two seater, I am keeping my S2000 convertible with Invidia exhaust.

.... IF only they made the Prius in a manual shift  I would literally be in heaven.

P.S.

I also previously had an ES-300 that had manual shift ;)

Congrats man! Interesting analogy (like driving the IS 300 in "snow mode")... Ha!
