Patiently waiting

Just spoke to the Sales Mgr in Pleasanton, Ca. We ordered our Fire Agate (I prefer "Rootbeer Brown") Premium, Black Leather 6/5. We are 21 in line of 19 cars coming in and he said we could expect a vehicle sooner than later since they are back up to full production. When we put the deposit down they told us 3 plus months. Not being an optimist at least it put a little pep in my step. First thing the car is getting is a dark tint on all the legal to tint windows.

21st in line, and theres 19 coming in. Doesn't that mean after that they have to start production on 2 peoples cars (for your dealer) waiting to be produced. There is still alot of orders from all over the world, hopefully the wait isn't too long. Keep your fingers crossed :)
I have a feeling that many orders and deposits in CA are for Premium models with Navigation and other options...

I'm getting my car from Putnam Lexus. The first time I ever spoke to them was June 28th. On July 1st they told me that the car I wanted had been allocated to them and I jumped on it. I am getting a Starfire Pearl with Black Interior and No Navigation.

I'm very surprised that with how long the waits have been for some and with wait-list being extremely long at some dealers that I have been getting offered cars.

Earlier toward the end of May I also got put on the list (no deposit) at Lexus of Pleasanton and Magnussens Lexus. Both of these dealerships have also offered me a Non-Navigation car. A lot of people must be getting these cars loaded because I know overall I couldn't be very high on their wait-lists.

The ETA I have been getting for the Bay Area is...
Ship to Port - July 8th
Port to Dealer - July 15th

Good luck on this shipment FTWX. Seems like the Bay Area is starting to get enough members to maybe do a meetup in August or September. :D

Congrats on getting your car so quickly! ... and Starfire Pearl is the most popular color. Nav must be really important to left coasters. :)

I'm still waiting after 1 1/2 months. :( Although appearently I'm now at the top of the waiting list at my dealer, and have 1st choice on anything that comes in :D

If there is 19 cars for 21 waiting, then you're bound to get a shot at a car if you're not too picky. :) There are always a few people that have to get the exact car they ordered, and won't settle for anything else.
This time it will be what we want, period.

I am the person that will wait. To often I settled for what was offered by dealers but with my last Harley and now the CT I will settle for nothing less than exactly what I want.
I put a deposit on a CT on 2/2011. And on 3/2011 they had the smokey granite, premium package with black leather, but i didn't like to black leather. So i requested the water grey leather. I had to wait untill 2 weeks ago I got call that my car was coming in. I just got it on 6/30. It was well worth the wait :) just hang on.
Got called today, not what I wanted

The dealer called today to offer me the car I wanted, except it wasn't leather. Told him I would wait for the car we ordered. I was so excited when he called and introduced himself and said a car became available "but" it's not leather. I kinda wish he didn't call. It's like salt in a wound.
Got THE call today

My car is on the boat and will see it by the end of the month. Premium, Fire Agate, Black Leather, Navigation, Led. I asked the dealer to not install the front plate bracket by drilling the bumper, he said no problem. I'm drooling. It will have been almost 3 months. Is it end of the month yet?

Good for you. I've chosen to wait for what I want as well. After all, I'll be driving this thing for years, what is a few extra months?
Same here doing the waiting game. Premium red, caramel, premium audio.
My car is now in port. We'll have it in about four days. This is going to be a long weekend.
ooOOoo. Can't WAIT for you to get your CT. The wait always feels the longest the day before/day of. Good luck! HAng in there!
It's home. Picked it up last night. It's beauuuuuuuuutiful. Now I'm off to read the manuals. Man this car is so plush. Of course we found a restaurant far from home to eat last night and I felt good parking next to the CL500.
Congrats. Glad you finally got your CT. Let the fun begins...yeaaayyy.
Long wait....

I've been lurking on this site for a few months now and finally decided to register and sign in. I've learned a lot about the CT following the threads on this site.

My Mom recently moved to San Diego from New York. She's always wanted a Lexus but with the narrow lanes and tight parking spaces here in Southern California, she also wanted a small 4 door car. The CT is the perfect fit - we waited until they started showing up at dealers last March for a test drive. Loved it! Mom's a good driver but wants to have all the safety "coup-fourrés" available... including PCS (Pre-collision Radar Cruise). Unfortunately, Lexus isn't shipping cars with PCS to the west coast unless custom ordered. We ordered with Escondido Lexus.

So, we placed the order on April 14, being told that it would take 90-120 days to come in because of the disaster in Japan. We received a letter in late June apologizing for the production delay and offering a bonus year of satellite radio. It's 143 days now, still no car but who's counting?

I'm wondering if it will be the last 2011 off the line before they switch production to 2012s.

I have been waiting since June and because of my selection red/caramel/audio mine was changed to 2012. Being quoted before Nov. I would check with your sales person to see if you have been changed. I am also out of Escondido.
I have two avaliable now in North Carolina. Contact Ben at 336-420-5101 if interested.

You are correct. I got a peek at the list of cars being built in Sept for Oct delivery. Ours was bumped to 2012 also. I saw 3 custom order premium CTs (9900) on the list for Escond: Tungsten (silver)/Water Grey Leather, Red / Water Grey Leather, and a Nebula Gray/Black Leather.
Got the call today! The car exists and is somewhere on a boat on the Pacific Ocean en route to So California. Expecting delivery between the 21st and the 26th. Yay!
