Paddle shifters now available on the Ct200h........for the Japanese model that is. Look identical to the set on the new Toyota corolla. Would add a welcome kick to the CVT. Suppose will turn up in the midlife update for the rest of us.

We have a "Continuously Variable Transmission". Constant Velocity would mean that we could only one speed. And what it would do would be to ack like a standard transmission and allow the CVT to pretend it had standard gearing. Nissan is doing this with their CVT and it is by far and away the best CVT on the market. Now saying its the best CVT is like saying its the best Palmeranian, cute but totally useless. In other words its a way to make our car feel more sporty and give it some sporty intentions but it wont do a whole lot.

I would like to have this on my CT, I currently enjoy it on my IS
Really? You do know that you have zero control with paddle sifters on the IS right? They are a gimmick to attract unknowledgable enthusiasts. They are just gear limiters. Try to put your IS into a higher gear traveling at low speed. You can't until the transmissions tells you it can. All cars have this ability through the gear shifter anyway.
