Lexus now sells an OEM armrest pad, part number PZ319-76003. I purchased
mine via Internet from Magnussen's Lexus of Fremont. The armrest is currently
featured on their home page:
http://parts.magnussenlexus.com/Scripts/default.asp

Use coupon code: LXSPARTS1 for a 10% discount. I received a better deal by
calling them. I paid $125.90 with free shipping.

The part comes with factory assembly instructions. Although I'm told it's an
easy install, for example, the underside of the center console has markings for
where to drill the mounting holes and no additional template is required.
I'm not a car mechanic, so I took it to my mechanic, and he installed it in less
than an hour for $55. Result: It looks and feels great, and my wife and I are
enjoying it on every drive!

I highly recommend this armrest pad modification. Check out the photos.

I'm ordering one as well. FYI this Dealership also has an eBay store and has this item in stock. They have it listed at $139.95 but have a Best Offer option, so you can name your price and get it a little cheaper. Free Shipping, too.

This was one of the first things I wanted to get as my 2012 is already bothering my elbow in that spot. I'm too used to the cabin of my old car which had a comfy spot for my arm.
received it!!
going to install it in the next few weeks :D
Ordered it from my dealer and had it installed yesterday. Install took less than 1/2 an hour. Looks good. My wife is the primary driver of this vehicle and is 5'3". The arm pad will definitely make it more comfortable for her.

Thanks for the tip, wish I had known earlier.

Do you know how much they charge to install it?

they charge an hours labour
when I first saw this I couldn't understand why someone would want this, then I realized since I'm so tall my arm rests on the storage pocket pad and not in front by the cupholders. Now it makes sense to me...but doesn't it seem like it's a bit steep in price? I could justify $50 maybe but for $120+ then if you don't want to hastle with the install yourself you need to pay someone for that also.
If you can tie your own shoes you should have little trouble installing this piece. Very straightforward. BUT, as you correctly point out it is pretty pricey as are many Lexus accessories.
I got mine and installed it. I wish there was a little extra padding in the thing, but it's still nice.

I just used a strong epoxy rather than taking the console apart. It's not gonna budge and it took about 3 minutes to do.

I stuck the armrest on with a good quality double-sided tape and it's still there after a year.

Awesome idea!
I'm can't believe I didn't think of this!
I'm going to do the same!!

Thank you!!!!
unbelievably expensive for what it is. I guess that the reason it is so desireable to spend such a disproportionate amount of cash on such an item is what amounts to a Lexus design shortfall.
Why are there cup holders on the centre console when there are cup holders in the door pockets? If it werent for the un-necessary cup holders the standard central storeage box would be usefully bigger, the armrest would extend to where it would be more useful and the rear seat passengers would be treated to cup holders being built into the back of that centre console.

Where would you put your take-away coffee?

Has anyone ever actually used those "cup holders" in the door? I can put a bottle of soda or water there, or even a can, but anything else spills on the way in or out. On the other hand, the cup holders in the console are in almost constant use, particularly on long trips. I have a bottle of water there all the time.
i've only put bottles of water in the door cup holders. i have an air freshener in one of 2 center cup holders. my sun glasses sit in the other center cup holder. has anyone tried this TOMS CT200H DRINK HOLDERS? i kinda want to get the single cup holder haha. not sure how well it'll work though...
I can't tell from that page what in the world those are and if I would have any interest in them. Bad marketing. Looks kind of expensive too, but since I can't really tell much about them, I will reserve judgment.
Just ordered my arm rest from Magnussen's Lexus of Fremont [thanks OP] ...cant wait till i get it [...& hopefully a $100 check- wow Lexus...$125?!]...
