Just to be clear. I meant no disrespect. I completely understand the cost of material and labor.
In my opinion, dealer installed options, like this one, should have been done after the customer took delivery or signed on the dotted line. That way, your dealership is not out the money if the deal goes bad. In my business, I would never spend the money on a change order or special request until I have either the cash in hand or confidence my customer can handle the charges.
For example, when I pick up my CT, I will not have the dealer pre-apply tinting. I may take a look at the car and decide not to take delivery. If so, they are trying to sell a car with tint.
