Having sat in both the back of 2nd Gen IS and CT, I would say they are pretty similar. The IS front seats go further back with larger front passengers and limits leg room. And besides a slightly more tilted back to the rear of IS and a center armrest it certainly comes in handy when being able to lower 1/3 or 2/3 of the rear seats for those larger cargo items making it fairly practical for a family vehicle with only 1 child. Plus the gas mileage is always a plus
