Greetings from Dallas.

This is my first post, so please excuse any etiquette errors.

I just bought a 2013 Matador Red/Ecru car with navigation and premium. It replaces my beloved 2002 red IS 300 SportCross. I have less than 100 miles on the CT, and haven't yet had my "tech lesson" on the bells and whistles.

I miss the power the IS 300 had, but will enjoy the more advanced features of the CT.

This forum has been a great help in deciding whether to buy the CT. Thank you for that, and for letting me join the group.

So what plans do you have for upgrades?

Born and raised in Texas Bill. No kin in Florida.

No plans for upgrades at this point. I have to figure out the basics first. I'm an old guy, so I'm not that interested in exterior style modifications or upgraded audio. I do wish it had a warning buzzer to tell me when I'm looking at the screen too long, and not at the road!

Do you have upgrade recommendations?

the most important upgrade I did (pertaining to safety) was installing a rear view mirror with the backup screen in it and the backup camera in the back. The last thing I want to do is back into something or heaven forbid back over a child.
every other mod was just to put my own style in the car. wheels, coilovers, and illuminated door sills are on the list to do next.

Thanks Bill. I have the navigation package, which includes a backup camera. My wife's car has one, and I got spoiled by it. I would never consider getting a car without one now. Great safety feature.

totally agree about the backup camera. Now you know why it's being mandated on all new vehicles.
