Just took delivery of my daybreak CT last Thursday. We got my wife an RX 450h in January, and ever since that time, I've been very impressed with the hybrid technology and quiteness of her vehicle. Since my 2007 GS 350 (AWD, navigation, etc.) was approaching 90K, I decided to do some research into the CT and to possibly trade in my GS. After I test drove the CT with a friend, I decided this was the car for me. I approached my dealer in April about getting a CT, and put a $1000 deposit down for a daybreak premium w/nav and was told it would probably be about 2 or 3 months before delivery, depending on production in Japan. It looks like I got lucky in getting one so soon, but it was a dealership allocation, and unfortunately, I won't have navigation but will have everything else on the CT that I wanted, including black leather interior. If I held out for my order, I could be waiting for several more months.

I know I sometimes will miss the power and space of my GS, but I find that the CT does just fine and can actually maneuver around curves much better than the GS. I have a 130 miles on the CT so far, and am averaging 42.3mpg. Expect to fill it up in a couple of weeks.

With my yellow CT and my wife's red RX, we probably have the most colorful driveway in the neighborhood.

P.S.

The build date for my CT is mid-April.

I was thinking that, but congratulations and goodjob with staying in the Lexus family :p I hope you enjoy your new ride. My driveway is monotone.
Very nice
Do you move them out of the garage in the morning even if you are not going anywhere just so the neighbors can see them !

You mentioned you got everything you wanted except NAV but you got black leather...I would doubt that it is leather in your car and probably Nuluxe (looks just like leather but no holes in it). Just stating this fact so if your dealer told you it was leather and it's not, you're aware of this fact. Most cars that have leather come loaded with NAV and more stuff...and, on the flip side, you can get a car like I did with NAV and with or without leather.

Great Lexus Hybrid family!!

And just on this note, my car does have the leather package and premium sound (10 speakers, etc etc), but does NOT have navigation...is this actually a "rare" combination?

factory leather...I would say yes...unless it's that dealer installed at port leather that so many Toyota dealers use
I believe the leather package is factory installed on the CTs.
Anyways, GREAT hybrid family combination!

I bought a CPO 2010 450h a month AFTER I got my CT. I kept telling my dealer, I'm gonna go broke if I keep buying cars from you every month! Mine's a black and white sorta color combo.

....Unfortunately, I seemed to have missed the driveway when I parked my car.

Matt, I would say his combination with leather and no NAV is unusual. Most cars that came in had 3 price levels and most that I have seen that had leather had NAV too...now, some with leather didn't have LED lowbeams or crash avoidance system.
When I was looking to purchase here in Australia the leather was an option even on the base model with no NAV but the dealers had already ordered in many base Models with leather on them and a sun roof which put the price up ! So if you wanted the base model at the base model price you had to order it and wait !
Jeff: Congrats! I love your colorful driveway. hehe The clarity of your pics is AMAZING!

Oh, most definitely. It is a highly unusual combination, but I will say that I did see a CT with the leather package/memory package on a premium non-nav CT. I did a double-take cuz i didn't know that it was possible. Of course, this was early, the same week of the Japan earthquake.

Interesting!
I have a Fire Agate Premium with the leather package and premium sound system. No nav!

I do enjoy the memory seats, back up camera, homelink, and the side mirrors that tint down when reversing!

Does anyone know if the key can be programmed with the seats, so my chair will adjust to my likings when I unlock the car with my key, and the wife's preferences will be automatically selected when she drives with her key?

Yes, my salesman set that up for us. It is also in the owner's manual some place.

This is the standard Premium Package configuration in Canada. The Premium Package has everything you can get in a CT except NAV and HID headlights. $5000 over the basic price.

Yes here is a link if my instructions aren't good enough See Pg. 81 (it has pictures :))
Manual

1. Enter vehicle with desired key only.
2. Make sure car is Off
3. Once seat is in desired position, hold that number.
4. While holding that number press driver door lock switch (either lock or unlock) and it will beep at you.
5. Repeat process with other key and other desired position (make sure seat is in that position before)

Your position will then automatically be recalled when door is opened by person with key

I don't have the upgraded membership. Just sign up for a free membership at Image hosting, free photo sharing & video sharing at Photobucket and upload your pics there if you don't feel like spending $40 (again, I have no idea how much you can upload once you upgrade). When you use photobucket, all you need to do is copy & paste links to the pics you want to post on here.
