Hi, everyone, I just got mine last Thursday July 28! I first saw them in April, and got to test drive one then too. I knew I wanted one, then I broke my arm in a bicycle accident, then all the cars disappeared due to earthquake woes. Finally, got one last week: Pearl White, light parchment interior, with nav and stereo upgrade. I also just found out that my trusty old Gen 4 Ipod isn't compatible. Bummer.

I also have a 2006 Prius (now my wife's) with 108,000 trouble free miles (except HID headlight :( replacement), and a 2000 Subaru Impreza, that I may be selling depending on how much fun the CT actually is to drive. Right now, I'm loving the car. Not loving the mandatory chrome wheels ($2500) for dealer profit! I'm thinking of trading the chromes for a set of standard alloys if I can find somebody willing to swap. Are the dark anthracite factory wheels available like on the Aussie Lexus website?

Anyway, I'm loving the car so far. My road bike fits in the back, just not as easy to load as the Prius. Great car, and drives completely different from my Prius. They seem to have fixed all the things that bugged me on the Prius, at the expense of rear seat legroom, cargo space, and a few mpgs (so far). I'm a happy guy!

Welcome to the family! Every time I think about someone fitting a bicycle into a trunk just reminds me of 40 Yr old virgin movie.

Thanks for the reply. I never thought about a Bluetooth adaptor for my old iPod. Does it cause any conflict with the Bluetooth phone connection having the iPod also connected?

Another issue: my old Motorola V551 GSM flip phone though it has Bluetooth, won't load the phone book to the car. The phone does work for incoming, and manual dialout. I guess its time for a new smartphone anyway. Sometimes, I feel so "last century", technically speaking!

My stuff isn't that old. I got the phone in 2005, and the iPod in 2006. Progress and obsolesence marches on.

Thanks again for the replies. Tech stuff aside, what a great car!!!

First congrats on your new CT ..awesome car!

I also have a Prius (actually wife's) and my CT will arrive August 13-16, 2011. I am curious, what things bugged you on the Prius ?

Great news, congrats!

Are you saying the chrome wheels you received w/ your car was a $2,500 add-on alone!? I hope that's not the case. You could always powder coat those, or sell those on here & get something else.

The dealer told me that they put $2500 chromes on "all" the CTs. I walked away from a red Premium without the other options I wanted because it had the chromes and nothing else for $2500. After the negociating was done, I got the exact car I wanted, and there was some give and take on the chrome "upgrade". I am considering trading the chromes for a set of stockers. Anyone in LA area interested? They have less than 100 miles on them.

I wanted the car so bad, that the chromes were just not that big a deal after all the haggling.

As much as I love the Prius, with 108,000 trouble free miles Jan 06 new, except the headlight replacement for over $250, then again replaced on warranty after 2nd failure, I think it always had a rental car feel.

I thought the seats weren't very good for my 10 hour a week commute. A trip to Vegas in heavy traffic nearly killed me with the poor seat support. It was fun watching the gas mileage as we chugged along with SUVs, etc. Much better seats on CT, though would have preferred cloth.

I wasn't totally happy with the handling, it was just barely acceptable with the OEM tires, which lasted 67,000 miles. I finally put on a set of 205 series Michelein Pilot Exaltos, and a BT brace, and the handling is much improved. Our prevoius cars were 1996 Outback, and a 2000 Subaru Impreza. Not that it rains all that much in LA, but the AWD spoiled us for the overly agressive traction control on the Prius. CT is much improved in handling and traction.

The front airdam of the Prius scrapes on our driveway, and every parking lot curb we get near to. CT is much better in this respect.

The list of Prius "buggs" is pretty short, but seem to have been addressed by the CT. BTW, we sold the Outback, and my wife gets the Prius, because she didn't want a new car. Even at 108K, the Prius drives just as well as the day it was new, so it is like a new car for her.:)
