I don't know for sure, but I expect that the audio system would need to have the correct character set loaded for any language that doesn't use the English alphabet. It should be able to display any language using the English alphabet, though! :)

Probably Not!

The navigation system itself can be set for English, France or Spanish. However the default keyboard is the standard "QWERTY" and can be set to "ABC" however it doesn't apear to change the standard character set. So One would come to the conclusion that it cannot read/display other language character sets. It would probably do its best to translate the character string it receives from the iphone/ipod.etc.

The Radio Definitely can not. I had some songs given to me by Chinese and Thai friends and the info did not do well on the radio. I'm pretty sure I read something about this in the manual.

ya i was wondering if there was a way to change the language since i know in mini coopers you can change the language to japanese so that it can read chiense characters.. and since this is a japanese car, i was thinking it could do the same especially i am pretty sure the cars in asia can read their languages accordingly... maybe some kind of update disc? haha
