We don't have nav and it's hard to justify as a value option. 99% of the time we will not need the actual nav feature.

We do miss the phone address book feature but voice dialing is pretty good.

I have nav on my Z4 but it came with the car in the showroom.

I wouldn't pay the premium Lexus and other manufacturers get for nav.

I use nav apps on my iPhone.

Without nav each contact is entered individually.
Contact number first then you speak how you want to address that number eg

Call home, call audi4t etc.

Entry can be laborious if you have a lot of numbers but it works very well. The voice recognition is good.

The voice recognition is a feature of the cars blue tooth system. It doesn't use any vr that the phone may have.

The system also has 5 or 6 speed dial button capabilities.
