As far as the date is concerned, I have to have a HUGE amount of TRUST in what the dealer is telling it's customers. I have not been mis-led yet so I have to go with what they say. Their communication has been at times hit and miss but mainly hit! I do have understanding that they are dealing with an event that is truly unprecedented. It must be hard when you go from having 100 to 150 cars on your lot to 16 to 18 that the dealer I have been dealing with has. As long as I know that "my" car is on the way and an "approximate" date is forthcoming, that makes me much more of a happy camper and I can proceed with details such as selling my present car and financing etc. For a car that was "maybe" going to be a hit, to one that is as RARE as seening a Ferrarri on the open road, LEXUS has a real "hit" on their hands and that leads to demand problems even discounting the effects of the tsunami!
