Never thought about it - can't see it from outside the car, and you already have a sunshade, so I personally wouldn't do it.

No, I've never done that, nor do I think it's needed. If you tint it darker, it's almost pointless to have the moonroof then (unless you're only using it to open up fully).

ok...i guess besides cutting down on the heat from the glass, there is no reason to tint the moonroof glass.

i have had several cars with sunroofs and all have had a pretty dark factory tint, so i never considered it. tint was similar to rear windows on SUV's.

i tinted my moonroof to 5% too...cant feel the heat anymore :)

I thought about tinting it when I had the windows done, ended up not doing it. I might take it back and have it done.

I'm going to tint mine too. It's hotter than hell in TX for about 1/2 the year. Seems like I read something about the tint causing the heat to build up and the glass to crack.

Did I dream that up or is it a legit concern?

i heard the samething from the tint guy but i had on my old car for like 5 yrs and nothing happen

I wouldn't tint with color.I'd use the clear nano tint.
