Hello forum members!

My name is John, and although i just signed up for an account here, however, i have been reading and lingering around here since i purchased my CT 9 months ago.

I leased the regular non sport CT200 for everyday commute since our commute in Los Angeles is just crazy. also, I still have my 2014 infiniti Q50 which i love.

Since driving the CT i have had random lower back-pain, until recently i thought it was my chair at work, however, just this month i drove my Q50 to work everyday, and i had no back-pain issues, and then after 2 weeks i switched over to the CT and boom after 2 days I get similar back-pain problems as i used to!!! I am 26 Y/O 6'0 and I weigh 200 lbs. I hit up the gym 4 times a week so i am active and i should not have any back pain.

I was wondering if anyone else has had this problem, or maybe having a similar problem but is not sure of the cause. Could it be your CT?

quick note: I have tried to adjust the lumber support it was useless!
Thanks

i dont have a solution for you but:

CT isnt the best car for a 6-foot guy in terms of size. interior is pretty cramped and small so i would have a hard time imagining a 6 foot guy feeling comfy inside especially driving it regularly

Q50 is much roomier and therefore more comfy

just my 2 cents

FYI i am a little below 5'-6"

I guess to each their own. I am 6'1'' and the CT has the most comfortable seats I've ever owned. Of course my other cars before this were a Miata, a Honda Insight, and a Ford Ranger. :)

I have a sensitive back. The only thing I didn't like when I test drove the CT was that the lumbar support in the standard car was minimal. I had a specialist company install inflatable lumbar supports in both driver and passenger seats right after I took delivery of my CT. Cost less than $200 and I've never had lower back pain from driving my car.

I'm 6'2" with back issues, and I find the seats in my CT comfortable and supportive. Personally, I have a hard time finding lumbar support that works for me as it never seems to be in the right place, but others consider it mandatory. My point is that only you can decide it your seats are comfortable to you. A friend's father once took a sack lunch and sat in a car at the dealer for 4 hours so he could determine if the seat was comfortable, but he was a bit eccentric to start with.

I would suggest spending all the time necessary messing with the adjustments to find your sweet spot. Even small differences can be huge if you spend a lot of time in the car. Personally, I find the seat back adjustment fairly critical to saving me from back issues.

Good luck! It seems a shame to have something like this impose on the fun you could be having with the car!

I drove ct200h for over 1 year. I had exactly the same issue. Now I am driving CHR, and no problem at all...
