Does anyone have the lexus pursuit credit card?

Assume that I have money to pay in cash, I can use this credit card to get like $500 back.
Maximum points earn per car purchase is 50,000 ($1 at lexus = 5 points).

I am thinking of getting the CT premium. After tax is around $35k.

Lexus credit card = $10k ==> 50,000points = $500 cash back
Other credit card = $25k ==> 25,000points = $250 cash back

saving of $750.

Anyone have any experience?

This would be better than signing a 35k check I guess..

When I bought my CT, the Finance guy told me that the only credit card they accept is the Lexus card and you can only put a maximum of $3000 on it at purchase.

I don't know if this is a corporate mandate or a dealer-by-dealer decision. Anyhow, both my wife and I opened up Lexus cards and put $3000 each on them.

$3000 X 2 = $6000 = $300 worth of Lexus points.

That's because CC companies charge the seller a % of the transaction.

Visa and MC usually around 3% - Amex 5-6%

This would be a cost to dealer (3% on 20k is $600)

Also, unfortunately, you don't get cash back on the Lexus Pursuits Visa Card. Just straight points for use at Lexus Dealerships.

I have never paid for service at my Lexus dealerhip. I use my Lexus CC points. Also got $800 off when I bought my RX350. I will get $600 when I buy the CT next month.
