It's Brown Spice Mica alright, which is a pretty dark chocolate brown.

It's quite feasible that an improperly calibrated computer monitor could make it look black, though.

I see black as well, but I do have a pretty vivid imagination. I have seen photos of the CT 200h in a canary yellow and like that alot.

Not really feeling the chocolate brown exterior. The whole earth-colors thing went away in the mid-nineties. Black is pretty classic though.

Car color trends and fads tend to come and go, and it so happens that brown is making a strong comeback (see Buick Enclave).
