Does LED light option in the CT200h like the conventional Xenon/HID? Don't really understand this LED light thing and somebody please advise. Is it basically Xenon light by LED technology? Bi-xenon as well?

Theoretically LED's offer lower power consumption for the same light output.

Also should last longer than halogen or xenon technology.

Lexus was the first automotive company to introduce LED headlamps for low beam use, with the LS 600h L in 2007. Consuming 45 percent less power than conventional, halogen units, they offer an improvement in fuel economy, perfectly complimenting the energy saving efficiency of Lexus Hybrid Drive.

With available LED headlamps, up to 46 LEDs are used in front, eight used for the door mirror-mounted turn indicators and 35 in the rear, the CT 200h is equipped with no less than 89 external LEDs –the largest number yet fitted to a Lexus model.

Xenon lights are similar to floodlights used at sports venues since the 1960s.

LED lights are more recent technology, and high-power LEDs are now being used in all sorts of applications (including floodlights). They use less power, are simpler to manufacture and last much longer.

It is likely that LEDs will replace conventional lamps based on halogen and xenon bulbs pretty soon.
