Just came back from the dealer, they want $414 a month for 36 months with $4000 down 12k a year. Just sounds crazy to me especially since we pay $350 for a 2010 TSX 15k a year 3k down. Any help would be appreciated.
thanks Ray

I just talked to Lexus financial today about extending my current lease until Dec when my car comes in.

She said December is the best month to lease/buy. Year end sales revolve around good finance rates. If you can, you might want to hold off for a couple of months and see what you can get at the beginning of December.

just freaking finance the car, it's only like 600 dollars for 5 years and premium base model...
thats only 200 dollars more then what you would lease it for, that means you can take the 4k down sign on payment for an emergency fund...

He might not want the base model....anyway the Lexus finance lady mentioned 2.9% interest rates in December. I wasn't talking to her about a lease but I think you get the same rates when you lease as when you buy.

$414 with $4k down seems about right.

Lexus financial sets all the lease rates and residual values, and I agree it doesn't make much sense that the CT is more than an IS (or TSX, in your case). When I leased my CT (one-pay lease, but monthly equaled about $435) I argued that I could lease an IS for way less, and the CT was supposed to be Lexus' entry-level model....but that got me nowhere. My lease rate (the money factor) was 4%, so maybe follow Dirvin's advice and wait a few months.

I did the same obersvation. Actually I want to lease too, because it is better for me for tax deduction, because I use the car for my business. But lexus still charge 0.15$ for extra Km, which is really expensive. This is 0.08$ on the TSX. If I compare, I can get a fully loaded TSX (tech model) as I want, for 750$ per month, 0$ down (with 40 000 km per year), and if I want the same thing on the CT, it cost 929$ per month, 0$ down.

The TSX have a better sound system, better handling, a lot more of power, but do 10L/100 km in city... and there is the big difference bitween the two. And the other big difference is the lease end value. The CT have a low lease end value and that is why the monthly payment are so high if I compare to the TSX.
