Hi All,

New member here... I just bought a used 2016 CT this past weekend with 17K miles on it. It appears it was a leased vehicle from 1/16 - 11/18.

The car is showing an average MPG of 29.1. And the Past Record seems to indicate no MPG data from 12/15 through my purchase date. And the 2015 mpg rates were really really low.

My question: Why would someone delete that data? Is that something that is easy to do? Should I be worried they were trying to conceal low gas mileage performance on the car?

Photos below. Sorry for the newbie questions!

Don't freak out too much until you drive it for a month or so on your normal routine and see what your average mpg is during that time. Each person's average mpg varies a lot depending on how they drive, the climate, the length of their trips, etc. That being said, most of us are averaging in the 40ish mpg range, so that does seem pretty low. Could just be that they had a lot of really short trips or had a lead foot and didn't know how to efficiently drive a hybrid. If you aren't getting any computer errors then I doubt there is anything wrong with the car.

Thanks! On my two somewhat longer drives so far, I've gotten 33 MPG on one and 50+ MPG on the other.

I was just worried about the lack of mpg data in the Nav system, as if the previous owner was trying to conceal or delete that data for whatever reason. I was surprised it was something you could even remove... just assumed "Overall MPG" was something like the Odometer, that wasn't subject to manipulation.

Appreciate the response and encouragement.
