An RX...? Or A Prius..?

All of a sudden CT's have been popping up everywhere I look here in SoCal. I know it's a whole lot different here than the rest of the country (most cars in South OC are Benz, BMW, or Lexus) but are we going to start seeing a widespread amount of CT's?

I'll be sad if we do and it becomes just another car. :(

Maybe. It seems the west coast is the first area to get enough in to have them in the showroom. As popular as the RX, I doubt it, the CT is so small. But it would be sad...

I'm not seeing many either. I guess mine will stay rare since it sounds like they are discontinuing my color.

I've only ever seen 3 here in the UK in 4 months. Bentleys and Ferraris are way more common.

I was wondering the same thing not too long ago but I don't think CT will run as rampant as the Prius. I've only seen 2 on the road here in Boston since the start of this year.

Ugh. I'm hoping for the best. It seems a lot of people don't like the hatch platform, so I guess we have that going for us. Lol.

That's a good point. I LOVE hatchbacks and the majority of my friends just don't get it. The hatch hasn't gained much steam in the states outside of the Golf platform it seems. That's fine with me

The US sales rate for the CT200h is a fraction of the Prius'. The Prius has had 10 years to build up to ubiquity. And the CT200h is significantly more expensive.

So I doubt the CT200h will become commonplace ever, and certainly not soon.

Suits me fine!

Haven't seen any here in the Tampa area but my wife has seen 1. I know someone from the forum has a black one down here. I hope it stays rare
I think the price will still keep people away. Its cheap but not that cheap.

I still haven't seen another one here in SW Florida on the road either. I did go to dealer today for 5000 mile service and they have an unclaimed one on the showroom floor, silver, premium, no nav, with black nuluxe. They did add a chrome package , wheels and side panels ( these look good) to the tune of $4000+, though. I'm sure it will be sold soon.

I share the same thoughts as some earlier posts on the price making the CT not as common. After all, it is a "luxury" vehicle, and to some, the idea of paying over $30K for a compact hatchback is plain crazy. And, it seems people think the CT price goes around $36K-$40K. I still get jaw dropping reactions when I mention "It only cost me $30K (and that's at MSRP!)." ...usually followed by me telling them "Good luck finding one!" ;)

Same here, someone I know thought the car was $40-$45k for a Lexus hybrid. WRONG!!!! :)

I think a lot of prius owners may upgrade to the CT platform; but i doubt the car will ever be too common.

at the end of the day it is a "premium" car in the lexus line; not everyone can afford one. The car does have some less than favourable reviews as well; I'm sure we've all read some.
