Hello Everyone,

I have test driven the Lexus CT200h a couple of times and love the car, except for one concern. I am 6'2" and when I have the seat positioned to how I usually sit when I lean my head towards the driver's side window, my head hits the grab handle in the corner where the door and roof meet. Is this normal? Am I sitting too upright?

Just as an update the dealership in Canada has a waiting list of about 50 people with a 6 month waiting period. This is bananas! :D

Cheers,

I am also 6'2" and don't have that problem. I think you have been sitting too upright. You will have no problem finding a comfortable position.

I have no problem finding my position, but then I am 5" shorter than you.

I'm in the UK, ordered my CT200 last week, was told it would be here by mid October. I was told the Japanese tsunami hit or otherwise disrupted the factories that build it.

You have to adjust the seat a little better. You may not get the same positioning as your other vehicle (i.e. view over the hood) as the seats are designed to sit very lower and close to center of gravity for sporty feel. Plus the higher you sit if you want to see hood, the more the rear view starts to become an obstruction. You'll get a feel for the lower seating and high side pains but other than that the car has great view of the road and surroundings :)

They are a lot more popular in Canada then I think they anticipated, the 1200 are already sold if word serves me correctly. Plus the earthquake and factories at lowered production certainly didn't help

Update...

I going to the dealership in a couple of days to put my deposit down and begin the waiting game. Like Tonic, I'm in no rush so thank you again darkride, johnleigh and dkid for your insight.

Cheers, and happy hybrid motoring!

What 1200 are you referring to?
