Is constant toggling the different modes bad?

Just curious if constantly changing the mode's is bad for the system as oppose to leaving it in one mode. Some electronics shortens its life with constantly turning on and off due to electrical surges. I would think that there is some taxing of the system as on the fly command is being switched.

if constant means turning the thing like a kid at a quarter candy dispenser, then yea, it would be bad. but IMO this was designed and engineered to change driving styles/modes in terms of road conditions and personal preferences, so changing it every so often during a trip shouldn't do any harm to any components within the lexus powertrain.
If it was bad, Lexus would have programmed it to not let it happen. I mean c'mon, they practically lock you out of your Nav system when your car is moving, which totally sucks and cripples the Nav system, IMHO.

Of course they would lock out your selector mode knob if it was going to do something bad to the drivetrain or the car. If it is gonna cause damage and a possible lawsuit, Lexus will have locked it out. All other hybrid models have multiple modes too and they don't get theirs locked out in the Toyota and Lexus lineup.
You might get a sore wrist from turning it back and forth. lol

The first few days I had my CT, I kept switching the multi-information display screen. But was concern about crashing the system. So now I just leave the display showing the battery charging to monitor "glide" with EV.
