Good evening all,

I have had my 2012 ct200h for about 2 weeks. I really like most things about it, but I was hoping someone on here could give me some guidance on the Bluetooth interaction with my iPhone 5s.

Issue 1: When I ask Siri to call someone it starts to call them but then hangs up or for some reason it doesn't go through. (this is using iOS siri not the lexus address book)

Issue 2: When I minimize Pandora it mutes the song. I am on iOS 8.2 and have background app running. For example, I can't run music then open google maps.

I think since there is the Phone system and also a separate Bluetooth music system, they are not allowing each other to work simultaneously. For instance today I was on a call and I had to manually open the Phone settings and select connect, it automatically paired since that was setup previously.I hope I am wrong, and there is something I can do differently.

Thanks for any tips.

I have seen a few other threads about similar issues. I was hoping someone would respond to this. I have rebooted my phone, and restarted the car. Sometimes when I get it the phone and the audio player sync perfectly, and the music plays, and the car rings when I get a call. But still the hands free siri doesn't always work. I can not call by speaking to the phone. Is anyone else using their iPhone able to call by just speaking to Siri?

Thanks

After speaking with a "Lexus technology specialist" she mentioned that Apple was trying to get the Siri hands free to work with different systems, and by doing that it broke the Talk to call feature built into iOS when in conjunction with the Lexus bluetooth stereo.

I am looking forward to installing the Vaistech ivic system so the phone will interface more effectively with the ct. Let me know if any of you have any good experience with that, or any warnings. Thanks!
