The 50w Leds are for exterior, way too bright for interior use.will it be too strong for use in interior lights? such as the map lights at the front or the vanity lights where it could melt the housing

They were installed half a year ago.If you haven't installed them yet, do you mind putting up side-by-side pics like chroma23 did? I picked up these, but if they are brighter than mine I might pick them up because I smoke tinted my tail lights and I want to have the reverse lights as bright as possible. Thanks.
Yeah mine does dim just fine. I have an LED panel in the dome light and 24 SMD LED wedge bulbs in the map light. I've had this setup for going on 2 years with no issues. I suspect you have a faulty LED panel or bulb. I've ran out of bulbs to convert to LED on my car, I've literally converted everything down to the turn signals.so i swapped all my interior bulbs to LED yesterday. quick question for those with experience... does your dome light dim on and off upon exit/entry? mine seems to have stopped since the replacement? any ideas? thanks!

I was fortunate enough to get a CT with the OEM LED headlamps but the highbeams I plan to leave alone as that's one area that LED's do not do well in.Me too! The bulbs in the side mirror, everything in side, trunk, fog, turn signals, headlights are HID, but brights are the only halogen (maybe i will change those to leds....) left.
I noticed that in my 2016 (non-F) as well. I suspect maybe it got changed for the 2014 refresh.Just a heads up, my 17 F Sport uses a 194 in the trunk light rather than a DE3022.
If you put the switch to off, the light will never come on (mine was delivered to me that way, it took me more than a day to realize there even was a light back there). If you want the light to work normally, put it in the on position. The interior lights stay on for 20 or 30 seconds after the doors are closed. The back door counts the same as the side doors. There is no way to leave that light on permanently with the door closed like there is for the overhead lights.Going to ask a really dumb question. I noticed that the rear cargo light has a switch on it. If I put the switch to on it stays on even if the trunk is close. If I shut the switch off, and open the trunk hatch the light doesn't come on.
Does our cargo light not come on when you open the hatch, does it have to manually be turned on every time?
Thanks,
-Nigel
Awesome thank you that worked. I had the trunk open every time i had the switch up but then when I unlocked the car didn't realize that wouldn't come on unless you open the hatch! If you put the switch to off, the light will never come on (mine was delivered to me that way, it took me more than a day to realize there even was a light back there).
