Is it really safe to use Infinity speakers in our cars? The speakers have voice coil impedence of 2 or 3 ohms depending on the model. Infinity claims the rating is 4 ohms once you factor in the heating up the coil and speaker wire. I'm wondering if it is really safe to use with our Head Unit?

Can anyone comment?

I've seen this debate before here:
Alpine iDA-X001 w/ Infinity Kappas - Speakers - Car Audio, Video, & GPS - Crutchfield Forums

I've seen multiple people say they are using Inifinty Reference speakers as replacements for their CT. Esp in the front dash (easy mod). These are the ohm ratings for our speakers:

1x / 22W / 4Ω / 9.0cm Center Squawker (on dash)
2x / 22W / 4Ω / 9.0cm Side Squawker (on dash)
2x / 2W / 4Ω / 2.5cm Tweeter (on front pillars)
2x / 15W / 6Ω / 16 x 23 cm Woofer (on front doors)
2x / 22W / 4Ω / 16cm Full Range (on rear doors)
1x / 40W / 2Ω / 20cm Sub Woofer (in luggage area)

Went ahead and installed Infinity Reference 3002cf in the dash. Box said 4 ohm and I chatted online with someone from Crutchfield who assured me the speakers would be fine.

Speakers sounded better than stock but honestly the system still sounds underpowered. Without an amp I don't think you're gonna get that much better.
