All,

I recieved my door sill last week. Here is the unboxing and install videos. I hope it makes it easier for you

EBPMAN

Rear

Passenger

Driver

Took me around 15 min per side. I took my time. Didn’t want to mess anything up. I kind of like to double check anything I do. This should cut down how much time it takes to install these if you want to. Really doesn’t take much technical skill. I saved over $200. My local Lexus dealer wanted over $400 for the install and this was at a discount.
The video is split in two sections the Driver and passenger side. You tube has a limit of 15 min per video. I did have some problems with the audio here and there. But it was a live take and no turning back. My apologies for the muffle noises. My wife helped me out. She is a patient woman and has a steady hand. Thanks babe!

If you have questions just post them and I will reply.

Great video mate!!! I'm from Greece and I just ordered my white ct200h and I really can't wait!!Sadly they informed me that I can't get hands on it until early September:mad::mad:!!But I'm willing to wait since I have a real crash on this car:):)!!The thing is that since I'm paying cash, I'm expecting to have my bonuses and illuminated door sills really looks nice:cool:!Should I hope getting those for free or are they just too expensive for Lexus?Any other ideas to make this beautiful car looks even nicer?

Genius... excellent video. Thank God my dealer installed both of our's. hehe I would be scared to death to mess with the battery and those wires.

Great job!! I wish my husband was handy!! haha

Yes to the front sills only - there is no wiring on the rear ones. (Too small anyways).

I'm not sure if this is problem or not - after install the side sills, I noticed the foot well lights are on all the time (at least at night - can't tell in the day time). Is this normal? I'm not sure if they were on all the time before I installed the sills as I didn't have the car long enough to take note of them.
P.S. They do dim with the interior light dimmer switch.

I think you will find they are on all the time, they are set to dim (but are still on) when you are driving, place the car in park and they brighten up. Standard on all Lexus.
When I leave my car in a dark garage when I close the car doors the footwell is illuminated with the led and the overhead light is lit.

Eventually the overhead light dims and turns off and the footwell is completely black.

I assume the led is off if not it is very very very dim.

I see no need to leave the feed to the led energized when the car is parked.

In fact when I installed the illuminated sills I noticed that after a period of time, even with the door open, the led and sills turn off automatically.

Sorry, I meant when the car is on. You are correct, when the illumination goes out in the car when it is locked then they should also go out.
