What is the average 'real life' battery time for our Smart Keys?

I know that manuals tend to exagerrate a bit. I think it said every 1-2 yrs is recommended... but even those keyless remote entry ones say that, and my previous vehicle with the keyless remote lasted over 6 yrs (never changed it). I understand keyless entry and smart keys are two whole different things...just sayin' recommendations seem exagerrated.

The wifes, on her last Prius, lasted over 5 years.

The smart key battery lasted 2.5 years on my 2008 IS 250 with nav .

My Prius is over 6 years old. I've replaced the batteries in the fob 1 time in each of the keys.
